Tuberculosis Program

Eligibility


The TB clinic provides services to high risk populations only. This includes:

  • Persons born outside of the US and are either Class B immigrants or refugees and all of the following:
    • Age 49 years or less
    • Date of entry less than 5 years
    • Country of origin in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America or Middle East. (please call if client is from any other country)

  • Patients with symptoms of lung TB as follows:
    • Referred by health care provider to rule out TB (documentation must be provided to the TB Program in advance)
    • Self referred with TB symptoms for 3 weeks duration with risk for TB

  • Patients with recent infection or exposure:
    • Skin test converters (current positive skin test and a negative documented skin test within past 2 years)
    • Case contacts to active TB case

  • Patrons of the following:
    • Designated shelters (including employees)
    • Hooper

All clients must reside in Multnomah County

Hours of operation:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 8:00am-11:30am and 1:00pm-5:00pm;
Wednesday - 1:00–5:00pm

Fees
Services provided by the TB Program are free of charge for qualified individuals.

Languages Spoken:
On staff: Spanish, Lao, Russian, Vietnamese, Somali, French, Hmong, Ukrainian. Other languages by appointment only.
