Telling Your Partner

Disease Intervention Specialist & Partner Services

503-988-3780

If you have chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis or HIV:

  • We can help you choose the best way to notify your partners.
  • We can offer free treatment to you and free testing and treatment to your partners, even if you were diagnosed with one of these diseases somewhere else.

Options for telling your partners:

  • You can tell them yourself. We can help walk you through what to say, if you’d like. If you need help disclosing that you have HIV, we can give you great referrals for support as well.
  • You can tell them anonymously, or with your name through email. Visit inspot.org to see how.
  • You can have a disease intervention specialist (DIS) contact them. The DIS will NEVER give your name or identifying information to a contact. The DIS will help the person get tested and treated and will answer any questions they have about their own health.
