Business Continuity A business continuity plan (also called continuity of operations plan or COOP) is good business practice. The plan informs managers how to continue critical public health operations if a disruptive event occurs which limits our resources. By creating a business continuity plan, we can ensure timely and orderly continuation or resumption of our key operations when the Department is impacted by unplanned incidents or events. An internal or external crisis can cause disruptions that affect employees, processes, facilities or technology, interrupting our ability to provide services to our clients and the community. This plan was developed by managers across all services and programs in the Health Department. Updating the plan, training and practicing will be an ongoing department wide process. Plans that are not yet in the COOP system have been indicated and are available below as PDF files. Need Help?
